First grade took courageous steps into creativity this week! They experimented with various found objects dipped in paint to create all different types of texture. They then assembled, cut, and glue their painted papers to make a mixed-up creature. Reading The Mixed-Up Chameleon by Eric Carle was their inspiration along with their own creative ideas drawn in their sketchbooks, that truly helped make their one of a kind creative creatures.
